About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our high-performing Marine team in Henderson, WA where we bring together engineering, design, systems integration and platform management capabilities to sustain the Collins Class submarines. Responsibilities of this role could include:
 

  • Provide input into work schedules.
  • Provide Preventative & corrective maintenance services for the Collins Class Submarine WDS, SSE, APU & WDHTR.
  • Provide input into system engineering review to improve reliability, maintainability and availability of the equipment.
  • Liaison with internal and external customers to ensure timely action of emergent work.
  • Review of maintenance and technical documentation to ensure currency and accuracy.
  • Provide feedback on Maintenance and quality processes.

To be successful, you will have
 

  • Australian Citizenship with NV1 security clearance (or the ability to obtain).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Trade.
  • Current forklift licence
  • Current manual drivers’ licence
  • Understanding of quality principles and procedures; and
  • Understanding of submarine and ship systems.
