Asset Lifecycle Engineer – Fixed Term until end of June 2024!

As our Asset Lifecycle Engineer you will be responsible for the conduct of Asset Management analysis and activities, balancing technical management and operational capabilities against cost drivers. You will focus on a balanced assessment of cost, risk and performance to drive long term optimisation in maintaining asset capability and the reduction in total cost of ownership over the asset’s lifecycle. 

 

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Responsible for conducting logistic support analysis and developing ILS data, artefacts and documentation.
  • Support and provide inputs into ILS related activities.
  • Conduct single-domain technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design of improvements.
  • Plan, deliver and monitor own tasks, ensuring requirements are delivered to time, quality and cost.
  • Produce technical documentation and solutions in support of assigned task (in accordance with applicable Delegation of Authority).
  • Support accurate and appropriate technical documentation records being securely developed and maintained in the appropriate data management system to support through life knowledge capture.
  • Contribute to technical information presentation and discussion (including formal reviews) with customers (internal and external).
  • Provide satisfactory engineering advice in area of technical or operational expertise & experience to the wider Babcock as necessary to maximise knowledge transfer and build operational capability.

 

 

About you

 

You have 4 or more years of combined experience within an engineering or maintenance environment and ILS acquisition or sustainment programs. You have an Engineering degree or qualification and a satisfactory understanding of applicable ILS and Engineering toolsets. You have a baseline clearance and previous experience within the Defence industry.
