About the role

You will provide direct support of defence vessel production activities, contributing to the management and accountability of subcontractor materials and project services required in support of the repair and maintenance activities.

 

This fixed term, full time role will continue through until 30th June 2024 and will be supporting the Landing Helicopter Docks and associated vessels based at the Garden Island Naval Base in Potts Point, NSW.

 

You will plan, manage and coordinate allocated Babcock Production site amenities, plant, and equipment inclusive of Cranes, Forklifts, EWP’s, Air Compressors, Generators, Site Offices & Ablutions in addition to any other equipment the Production Team require in support of Maintenance Activities.

 

You support to the Production Team with be critical via the procurement of materials and drafting necessary documentation, requesting stock availability, and updating registers.

 

About you 

Your high level of warehousing and/or maintenance coordination experience or relevant technical trade background along with sound computer skills will see you excel in this role. Previous experience using MILIS and SAP, and working in the Defence industry would be highly regarded.

 

You will be a team player with the ability to own and deliver your tasks and goals to achieve success and manage daily operation schedules with conflicting priorities.

 

Ideally you will have 

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a current Defence security clearance
  • Significant experience in a similar warehouse or maintenance support environment
  • Previous MILIS and SAP experience (preferred)
  • Prior experience or knowledge working in the Defence industry (preferred)
  • White Card
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence
