  • Support the development of Enterprise Risk Assessments

About the Role

The purpose of the role is to manage the Babcock Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership for the organisation and support the Principle Security Advisor – Protective Security implement Protective Security across the organisation. 

 

Key responsibilities will also include:

 

  • Provide advice in accordance with Protective Security Policy and Procedures based upon an assessment of risk.
  • Ensure compliance of Defence Programs with the DSPF / PSPF Principles for defence sponsored programs and facilities. 
  • Deliver education across a wide range of subjects related Protective Security.
  • Supervise and assist in the development of junior members of the team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures, and instructions in relation to Protective Security in accordance with Babcock policy.

 

About You

You will hold demonstrated working experience with AGSVA and Defence Security and can undertake risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies and change management in relation to the implementation of controls. 

 

You will hold a solid understanding of the DISP and its management at an organisational and facility level, as well as an understanding of application of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the ASIO Technical Notes.

 

You thrive working within a complex forward-thinking environment and ideally possess:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in security and risk management (desirable).
  • Has completed, or is able to complete, the DISP Security Officers training course.
  • Has completed, or is able to complete, the technical security courses in the areas of physical and electronic security.

 

Please note:  the successful applicant would need to be comfortable with some after-hours response and interstate travel required
