Construction Supervisor (Physical Implementation)

About you

You will be a dedicated and experienced construction supervisor, with a background in overseeing construction projects in consultation with engineers and project managers.

 

You will be detail-orientated, have strong knowledge of building codes and construction safety/ environmental regulations, and be able to manage day to day site logistics during construction.

 

You enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with effective communication skills and provide clear, concise updates and reporting.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Physical Implementation Manager, you will oversee an allocated construction site project and supervise the construction team based at this site. You will be accountable for site safety and environmental compliance, overseeing scheduling, conducting project meetings, ensuring induction training and Permit to Work requirements are met.

 

On a daily basis you will manage site logistics during construction; conduct site safety and compliance audits and report on project progress to the project team.

 

You should also be able to perform first aid and implement a site response plan in the event of an emergency.

 

This is an onsite position based in Townsville, Queensland.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
  • Significant experience managing construction site or allied projects, preferably in remote locations
  • Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with exceptional leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of construction tools, equipment and mobile plant (eg. Elevated Work Platform, excavation plant, cranes).
  • Current drivers licence
  • Sound knowledge of building codes, construction safety regulations and ability to interpret drawings
