The role
As a Supportability Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of the MoD Type 31 Frigate Project.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll conduct reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis programmes
 
Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Conduct system and equipment decomposition
  • Support delivery of system, equipment and class supportability and reliability 
  • Support the reliability centred maintenance programme 
  • Support delivery of the reliability and maintainability  plan and case reports 

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home subject to workload requirements.

 

Essential experience of the Supportability Engineer:

  • Background in Marine Engineering, process, plant or automotive industry engineering 
  • Prior experience of complex systems in supportability analysis and maintainability techniques
  • Ability to work in a multi-discipline team
  • Strong written communication skills; the delivery of well structured, unambiguous technical documentation and reports

 

Qualifications for the Supportability Engineer:

  • Degree or HNC qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical, marine, electrics/electronics or systems) or relevant experience

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
