Reporting to the Executive Manager, Cyber Risk you will be a member of a team of technology risk professionals that provides Operational Risk & Compliance support to the Group’s Cyber Security function. The support you provide will result in improvements to risk management and controls managed by the technology division within CBA. The role requires building strong relationships and teamwork to improve the way that risk and compliance management practices are executed to meet Group requirements and support strategic priorities.

The Enterprise Services (ES) Technology & Cyber Line 2 Risk Team assures to the Group CRO that accountable executives have taken reasonable steps to articulate and address technology and cyber risks to the Group.

We provide independent assurance and approval on all components of the risk and compliance management framework.

On any given day you will:

  • Work with the Executive Manager Cyber Risk to execute the Risk Management strategy.
  • Provide oversight of key technology controls and operations to the ES & Group CRO that accountable executives have taken reasonable steps to articulate and address key technology and cyber risks to the Group.
  • Lead and manage technology and cyber risk assurance reviews over the Group’s critical systems and data assets.
  • Investigate and assess emerging technology and cyber risk and control issues.
  • Ensure robust technology and cyber risk governance through regular attendance and active participation in supplier and internal risk governance forums.
  • Ensure that appropriate polices and standards are enforced to enable safe, sound and secure implementation and operation of technology services.
  • Work with the Cyber Security teams to ensure risk and control principles are embedded across technology functions.
  • Take a pragmatic approach ensuring both compliance with the Operational Risk and Compliance Management Frameworks while maximising business productivity and success. 
  • Develop strong and cohesive working relationships with key stakeholders across the Group.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Success in an Information Technology or Risk Management role, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Working knowledge of technology and risk industry standards and frameworks.
  • Proven understanding of Cyber Security and key controls that operate across the identify, protect, detect and respond domains.
  • Ability to analyse/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Exceptional influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated they are self-starter with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
