About the role 

As the Program Analyst, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating mathematical models that support the organization’s operations and decision-making processes. Reporting to the Business Performance Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse data, identify trends, and create dashboards that enable accurate reporting, forecasting and strategic planning.

Key to the success of this role is the designing and developing of Financial models.  You’ll be asked to provide examples of your experience with this design piece and your ability to maintain and upgrade as required.

 

What you will bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics;
  • Proven experience as a financial or business analyst, or similar with the design of financial models;
  • Strong proficiency in Ms Excel, Power query, Power Pivot and DAX;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and interpret complex financial and operational data;
  • Sound understanding of program and project costing, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, profitability analysis, contract performance measures and financial forecasting;
  • Knowledge of program and projects delivery as it pertains to schedule, cost, resources and scope;
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Negative Vetting – NV1
  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence;
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card); and
  • No restrictions to access For Official Use Only (FOUO) level or ITAR controlled material.

This position will work within our subsidiary Naval Ship Management (NSM), which provides asset management solutions to the Australian maritime sector. NSM supports assets across the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet – most notably the Anzac Class Frigates as a member of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) and the Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD), LHD Landing Craft (LLC) and associated assets as the Asset Class Prime Contractor.
