About the Role
 

Babcock are looking for a Production Maintenance Planner to join our Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communication System (EDHFCS) program where Babcock lead the operation and support of the existing HF capability, while delivering a comprehensive technology upgrade.

 

The Production Maintenance Planner holds a pivotal role in shaping the success of JP9101 Acquisition’s rack production. Their responsibilities encompass orchestrating the setup of production schedules, refining processes, and establishing procedures to streamline operations seamlessly. With a keen eye for detail, they manage data within the IFS system and adapt tasks to accommodate any emerging requirements.

 

The Planner collaborates closely with Platform and Combat Groups to incorporate new tasks into the Maintenance Work List. Acting as the primary liaison for JP9101 teams, they facilitate communication between acquisition and support departments.

 

Moreover, the Planner takes charge of coordinating risk assessments and administrative actions, including the potential cancellation or deferral of tasks within the work package. They also oversee the regular publication of the Main Work List to meet project demands.

 

Additionally, the Planner plays a pivotal role in supporting task and platform certification requirements. This involves ensuring the completion of task close-out Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and related reports to maintain quality standards.

 

To be successful, you will bring
 

  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance.
  • Working knowledge and experience of maintenance management and planning system tools and processes.
  • Relevant previous experience in maintenance planning in a HF Communications and electrical engineering or defence environment.
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships.
  • Diploma in Engineering or an equivalent level of experience.
