You may have heard that Babcock have recently been awarded a major multi-year program to upgrade the Australian Defence Force’s High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) and we are seeking Node Maintenance Technicians to join this exciting new program.

Our Maintenance Technicians oversee the day-today delivery of maintenance support services to the DHFCS and will carry out preventative and corrective maintenance ensuring equipment performs to operational requirements.

 

Your day to day could include:

  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Ensuring that the ACMS, transmitters, receivers (site dependant) and associated control equipment perform to operational requirements.
  • Conducting initial investigations into system failures and reliability problems and maintain accurate records.
  • Complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs).
  • Ensure any administration duties are completed a required.
  • Maintain high security system and operational requirements.
  • Other duties as reasonably required to deliver system service

What will you bring?

  • Australian Citizen
  • Trade qualifications in electronics, communications or network engineering.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role in the electrical or mechanical industry.
  • Ability to problem solve technical issues using approved maintenance procedures.
