About the role
As the Finance Business Partner, you will coordinate, develop and provide analysis of financial forecasts for the projects. This is a position of responsibility to ensure all funding aligns with the Financial Management Plan. To do this successfully you will need to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the project team to maximise mutually beneficial outcomes
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Regular engagement with stakeholders across the business including liaising with the Lead Management Team (LMT) groups, Industry Participants, and Anzac Systems Program Office (SPO); Capital and Operations Purchase Order (PO) Management including raising new PO’s and adjusting existing; Performance of the Capital project Pain / Gain (Limb 3) calculation at the completion of a project; Managing the Capital Closeout Register, ensuring that all invoicing has been received and performance of the Tasking Statement Closeout process for all capital and operational project closures; and Responsible for all Capital and Operational inputs into the Monthly Management Reporting (MMR) process, Cost Incurred Reports, CoAD reports, and Governance and Leadership Board (GLB) reports
To be considered for this position, it is essential for you to possess the following qualifications and experience:
Degree qualified in accounting, commerce, finance, business or other related field, or demonstrable experience; CPA or CA qualified (desirable); Demonstrated experience in relevant Finance based role/s; Experience presenting complex financial information to multiple stakeholders; Excellent computer literacy and high competency with Microsoft Excel; Flexible with a can-do attitude; Customer service orientation; Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sound influencing and negotiation skills; Quality orientation / attention to detail; and Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance.

This position will work within our subsidiary Naval Ship Management (NSM), which provides asset management solutions to the Australian maritime sector. NSM supports assets across the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet – most notably the Anzac Class Frigates as a member of the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) and the Canberra Class Landing Helicopter Docks (LHD), LHD Landing Craft (LLC) and associated assets as the Asset Class Prime Contractor.
