Full time permanent position located at Bankstown Airport, NSW

The Role 

The Simulation Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) to perform all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices under support in a safe and effective manner, ensuring maximum successful training events are able to be achieved by the end user.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Carries out all maintenance tasks effectively as directed by Senior Simulation Technician or Maintenance Manager
  • Carries out all maintenance tasks to meet internal and external compliance requirements
  • Assists Senior Simulation Technicians with investigations supporting site based engineering development needs
  • Demonstrates professional, disciplined and safe behaviour in all day to day tasks
  • Provide technical support to synthetic and blended exercises in such areas as:
    • Baselining the system prior to each exercise;
    • Test any system / software release(s) as required;
    • Create and maintain an Issues Log
    • Manage the resolution of any technical issues

Qualifications and Experience/Requirements 

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Essential: 

  • Australian citizenship and eligible for NV1 security clearance
  • Interest in Aviation or Simulation

Desirable: 

  • Cert IV in one of the following:
    • Aeroskills (Avionics), Information Technology (Networking), or a Technology related field
