About the Role

You will support existing in-country operations and business development activities to ensure all JP9101 objectives are successfully achieved through the application of systems safety engineering and systems engineering processes and activities.

 

Key responsibilities will also include:

  • Provide expertise in developing System Safety contract deliverables for new equipment acquisitions, including System Safety Program Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety Case Reports.
  • Apply a structured approach to Hazard Analysis to ensure hazards are identified, analysed, evaluated and eliminated or the associated risk reduced to an acceptable level throughout the lifecycle of a system.
  • Support and develop technical engineering and compliance processes to ensure integration with all operational areas.
  • Engineering support to JP9101 business development activity, bids, costings, proposals and engagement with potential customers.
  • Promote and pro-actively develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout engagement with the business and customer.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS and associated technical legislation.

 

About you

You will be degree qualified engineer preferably with chartered engineer status and a minimum of five years relevant experience and preferably have a professional Certification in Systems Safety Engineering

 

Lastly it would be desirable if you have Systems Safety Engineering experience or Systems Engineering experience within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or defence industry and Project Management experience would be of benefit to the role.
