Job Description

At PrioriAnalytica we provide ‘Operational Analytics’ solutions for the Defence, Resources, Energy and Logistics sectors.  We do this by applying our Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence knowledge to predict failures in advance on a wide range of critical equipment across multiple industries.

We are looking for a passionate Frontend Software Developer to be part of the Software Commercialisation Team.

The successful applicant should have a balance of great technical skills coupled with pragmatic and customer-centric attitudes and beliefs, able to deliver modern, scalable, efficient, and re-usable web-based analytics dashboards.

This role would suite a recent graduate, or someone with 1-2 years industry or further academic experience.

Here’s what you will focus on:

  • Delivering analytics dashboards using a modern component-driven web stack.
  • Working with stakeholders to customise ‘look and feel’ aspects of the design.
  • Working to serve analytics dashboards in production using a CI/CD approach in both on-cloud and on-premises deployments.
  • Work with the team to conduct basic operations management for applications in production.

As an early member of our technical team, you’ll play an invaluable role in growing PrioriAnalytica’s capability to serve Priori’s product line to customers at-scale. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer for strategic direction, and work within the software team for day-to-day collaboration.

Here’s what we’d like to see in you:

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Modern web-stack experience, including Vue.js / Svelte
  • Relational database experience, including writing efficient SQL queries
  • Experience designing and implementing data visualisations, particularly for time series data

In addition, it would be great to see the following:

  • Python experience
  • An Interest and understanding of machine learning and operations research algorithms
  • Experience with time series data pipelines, including specialised time series databases
  • Experience interfacing with the canonical Python data science stack (including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch/TensorFlow)
  • Experience with ADF protected networks

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; confident in leading and facilitating workshops and delivering presentations
  • Able to empathise with our customers, and at the same time address the client’s business challenges and goals
  • Having a problem-solving and learning mindset to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
  • Able to think laterally and deal with ambiguity whilst still paying attention to detail
  • Demonstrating a can-do attitude and being a team player who values collaboration and transparent communication
  • Showing basic business acumen with a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines to get things done and delivered.

Qualifications/Academic Background:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field that included a significant Computer Science component.
