About the Opportunity

Our team  are collaborating with partnering organisations to develop and deliver cutting edge solutions to the Australian Defence Force’s fifth generation capability. LMA are supporting Babcock in their development of the JP9101 project, which is an upgrade to Defence’s High Frequency (HF) Communication System.

We are pleased to invite applications for a Cyber Security Architect to join the team.

 

About the role

Supporting the JP9101 project and as part of the broader Engineering Team, the Cyber Security Architect is responsible for coordinating and executing the cyber security activities to ensure fit for purpose system design, that meets the security objectives of the customer.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

·       Contribute to and maintain the Systems Engineering Framework to support CS design activities within your subsystem domain

·       Provide broad based experience in systems engineering lifecycle and apply experience to specific

·       Conduct cyber risk analysis of component hardware and software

·       Produce/maintain security documentation to support achieving ICT, Emanation and Physical Security accreditation of the systems and networks

·       Assist with regular cyber testing of systems to ensure continuous security monitoring

·       Provide technical support to the integration and test functions

 

About you

With a solid understanding of Systems Engineering, you will also have a good grasp on Cyber Security; all while being willing to continually learn and develop your skill set. Ideally you will also hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution and/or relevant professional experience.

The following experience is required to be successful in this role:

·       Significant experience with the systems engineering lifecycle

·       Experience in interpreting security requirements, analysing and recommending security measures and policies

·       experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement.

·       Significant experience in the evaluation of ICT infrastructure  (Hardware/Software) configurations for security vulnerabilities

·       Strong technical documentation skills

·       Experience in cyber security and/or ICT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability

·       Previous experience working in Defence or critical infrastructure

·       Working knowledge of current cyber security risks and experience implementing security solutions

 

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and either hold or be eligible for a current NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
