About the opportunity:

As the Pricing Lead, you will take ownership on the delivery of proposals in accordance with deadlines, company processes and Request For Proposal (RFP) specifications.

Other day to day tasks include:

  • Providing key inputs for gate reviews and for bid decision reviews
  • Coordinating the collection of cost, schedule, and performance elements from functional departments
  • Performing financial modelling and NPV/IRR analysis related to proposals
  • Developing initiatives to improve profitability and cashflow within proposals and making recommendations to leaders
  • Researching and analysing historical data to support proposal efforts and assess accuracy of functional estimates
  • Collaborating with management and customer representatives in pricing reviews
  • Acting as a member of the contract negotiating team
  • Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates
  • Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques
  • Allocating work to, assisting and reviewing less senior members of the Pricing team

About you:

  • Extensive experience in bid and proposal activities within the Defence industry or a project environment
  • Experience in providing analysis, advice, and recommendations to management
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Engineering or a relevant discipline
  • The ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports, briefings, updates and other documentation to stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and the ability to see patterns, trends, or missing pieces
  • Experience of describing estimating uncertainty using three point estimating
  • Experience in analysing risk register quantification and the development of management reserve
  • Previous experience with ProPricer (desirable)
  • Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office
