This role is located in Williamtown, NSW. 

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the Flight Instruction capability providing effective leadership and management to ensure business obligations and customer requirements are able to be met both now and in the future through the application of robust policies, processes and procedures. Develop and implementation of appropriate business solutions.

Duties

  • Serves as F-35 Pilot SME. Maintain weapons system expertise.
  • Provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and/or Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainer (DMRT).
  • Support lesson plan and mission guide revision efforts.
  • Support aircrew training device scenario design and programming efforts when directed by the Lead Instructor.
  • Manage the recommended corrective action and remedial training with the Lead Instructor and active-duty supervisors. Conduct training as required.
  • Conduct student academic evaluations.
  • Manage lesson revision inputs.
  • Provide Force Application support services, including support to exercises, operational deployment, doctrine development, Operational Test & Evaluation, Operational Airworthiness and Aviation Risk Management, as scheduled (when on contract).

About you

Minimum Royal Australian Air Force Fighter Combat Instructor (FCI), or United States Air Force equivalent, qualification on fourth and/or fifth generation front line fighter aircraft.
Experience flying 5th gen fighters.
Special requirements:

Applicants are required to hold & and maintain CoA NV2 security clearance with eligibility to obtain CoA PV security clearance.
