The team:

The AIR 5428 Pilot Training System Team are responsible for delivering performance-based options to train the next generation of Australian pilots.

The role:

As the Warehouse & Inventory Assistant you will be an integral and important member of the AIR 5428 team.

You will be required to perform a wide range of activities including, but not limited to, receipting of and dispatching of items, inventory control, materials handling, deliveries and administration based tasks.

Complete receipting process by quality inspecting articles, rejecting defective items, verifying material and quantities to determine irregularities in orders. Prepare inventory reports and investigate discrepancies in stock counts.

We are looking for someone who can communicate with confidence, a positive and friendly attitude and a flexible approach to work tasks

To be successful you will need to have strong data entry and computer skills as you will be required to complete records concerned with quantity and type or material received or issued stock within Defence and Lockheed Martin logistics management systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in stock control and inventory management
  • Stocktaking, packaging and asset management experience
  • Experience in Defence or similar logistics areas including inventory Control, Asset Management, Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Good relationship management and customer service skills

Desirable

Qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or previous experience within a logistics environment, or Warehousing or Stock Control.

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a CoA Baseline security clearance.
