Currently, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Global Trade Senior Specialist (Compliance) within the Raytheon Australia Global Trade team.

In this role, you will contribute to overall business performance by supporting the implementation and management of the company’s global trade compliance framework, associated policies, procedures, and work instructions, to ensure compliance with relevant licensing and regulatory obligations and applicable corporate policy requirements. This is a challenging and diverse role, working closely with an expanding team within a collaborative environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct internal compliance investigations, audits, assessments and objective testing
  • Address deficiencies and/or systemic issues in internal controls, and rectify through enhancements or corrective actions
  • Assess the adequacy of internal policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with export and import laws and regulatory requirements
  • Provide advice to all areas of the business in relation to compliance with global trade requirements, including Australian and U.S. export and import control regimes, and the company’s obligations under relevant licences and permits for controlled technologies

About You

  • Knowledge of global trade laws, including Australian and U.S. defence export licensing requirements, is desirable but is not essential
  • Experience in developing and conducting internal audits and assessments would be an advantage
  • Analytical ability and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
  • Proactive approach toward the identification and management of regulatory and compliance risks
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Motivated team player and collaborative problem solver, with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities
