About the Role
At Babcock, our Aviation team plays a crucial role in maintaining and operating aircraft that support essential services. We’re on the lookout for a skilled Management Accountant to join us and make this vital mission possible!
In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind transforming financial data into strategic insights. You’ll enhance our financial performance through expert analysis, budgeting, and reporting. As a key member of our finance team, you’ll manage daily finance functions and support our strategic goals.
You’ll work on improving our finance systems, reducing risks, and delivering accurate forecasts and reports. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, analysing project costs, and ensuring accurate general ledger reconciliations.
Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders will be crucial in supporting financial decision-making and resolving issues.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Commerce.
- Chartered Accountant member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (or overseas equivalent).
- Advanced spreadsheet skills and knowledge of ERP systems.
- Experience reporting into a group/region with complex accounting systems and processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to commercial and financial environment.
- Australian Citizen or permanent resident.
