The role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you’ll be responsible for providing key financial support to our LGE business.  Working closely with the LGE Finance team and the LGE business to provide robust reporting to enable the business to understand their financial performance and to make meaningful decisions. You’ll also support the growth agenda of the Marine Engineering & Systems business through contributing to business forecasting. 

 

The LGE Finance team is entirely focussed on the LGE business – it’s financial performance, financial planning and business partnering.  In this role, there will be a significant element of ad hoc work, improving and developing reporting, controls, and analysis.

 

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for: 

 

  • Supporting the delivery of the monthly management accounts for LGE group of companies.  
  • Supporting the delivery of the key monthly accounting model for IFRS15
  • Specific ownership of:
    • The Aftersales/ Service financial reporting
    • LGE LLC financial reporting
    • LGE IP Co financial reporting
  • Supporting the delivery of the annual Budget for the LGE group of companies
  • Specific ownership of:
    • Budget/ forecast for LGE LLC, LGE IP Co
    • BPC submissions for LGE Budget/ forecast
  • Supporting Ad Hoc Activities

 

This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based in Rosyth with hybrid working arrangements- 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home. 

 

Essential experience of the Management Accountant

  • Accuracy & attention to detail are absolutely critical
  • High quality Communication is vital
  • Be able to build strong, supportive relationships with the LGE business and work very closely and effectively with the LGE Finance team and the Marine Finance team
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Be able to resolve issues, big and small
  • Excel – solid knowledge (e.g. VLOOKUP)

 

Qualifications for the Management Accountant

  • Degree-level education is strongly preferred
  • Accounting qualification is not essential, but the incumbent in the role will be a part qualified accountant who is actively studying Part Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA or ACCA)

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance security level.
