About you

You will have extensive construction management project delivery experience with the ability to maintain a complex multiple site/facility program in terms of scope, cost, schedule and risk. Your project management experience within the construction industry will enable you to act calm under pressure and have the foresight to problem solve, maintain strong networks and stakeholder communication, control conflicting priorities, cost and schedules, and also succeed in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.

 

You enjoy the opportunity to collaborate with your peers and lead by example, supporting a remote based team of reports.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager Acquisition you will be accountable for the establishment and coordination of site, facility and infrastructure works at the Contractor Support Facility (CSF), the two Network Management Facilities (NMFs) and the eight transmit and receive sites for the Australian Defence Force High Frequency Communication System upgrade. You will also be responsible for the transport, integration and commissioning of a portable node capability prior to migration to an Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communication System (EDHFCS) capability.

 

You will have management oversight and integration across multiple work packages nationally to construct and implement the system upgrade on various defence sites.

 

You will be responsible for the successful management of various subcontractors ensuring the scope of work is completed accurately as per the project plan, and that the safety and welfare of sites is at the forefront.

 

This position is based at Keswick, SA in our project office, and will require regular site travel across Australia.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
  • Significant experience managing construction site or allied projects, preferably in remote or multiple locations
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or relevant field
  • Recognised project management qualifications or accreditations
  • Experience in project / program management within a complex environment
  • Proven leadership experience, managing a team of project professionals
