About the role

To provide 1st point of contact / 1st line support for end users on the Babcock Corporate Computing Environment (Picasso) with a focus on performance against service level agreements. Service Desk technicians will provide direct support to end users and act as additional support for the broader IT team. This is an entry level position which offers opportunities to develop and grow in our organisation. 

 

Ideally you will have

Flexible attitude with proven experience working in a Service Delivery environment to ensure requests are logged, updated and closed to agreed SLA’s. Knowledge of the ITIL environment and processes will see you resolve problems/queries relating to PC’s, laptops, printers, LAN, Videoconference, and other IT and telecommunications systems.  You will be comfortable working across a multi-disciplined IT environment and can apply innovative strategies: including identifying and recommending solutions to various practices.

 

You will also need to be available on a rotating roster:  4 days on 4 days off – 10 hour shifts (this includes weekends).  For half of the year the hours are 5am until 3pm and for the other half 7am until 5pm to ensure business needs are met nationally in daylight savings. You will also be compensated with additional weeks leave, taking it to 5 weeks annual leave per year!
