We are looking for a Defence Business Development Coordinator to join our Defence, Security and Resilience team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Defence Program Manager.
About the Role:
- Coordinate the implementation of bids, proposals and tenders.
- Coordinate and participate in trade shows and marketing activities
- Maintain the GME Defence Security and Resilience opportunity pipeline.
- Coordinate Department of Defence and Government-related sales, with GME sales and marketing professionals.
- Engage Defence customers and supply chain vendors, ensuring clear communication, proactively responding to customer queries, providing and sourcing technical information as required.
- Advise GME Defence leaders on Defence and Industry customer needs.
- Work with Engineers, manufacturers, verification and validation teams and product testers to create and refine proposals/tenders and bids.
- Promote document management and information configuration control.
- Champion a security culture at GME.
- Any other duties as directed / required.
About You:
- Committed to the Australian Defence sector with an interest in advanced technologies
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills
- Well organised, self-starter able to priorities competing demands
- A customer-centric mindset and support of a strong security culture.
- Minimum 3 years of practical Defence industry experience.
- An understanding of Defence sector tendering processes: solicitations to industry, bid preparation, bid evaluation, selection and contract negotiation.
- Experience in bid coordination.
- Experience in developing and maintaining an opportunity pipeline.
- Experience in document control and an understanding of security principals and processes and the Defence Industry Security Program.
- An Australian citizen with a NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 clearance.
