About the Role 

Are you an aspiring leader wanting to take a formal step into leadership? Or a dedicated engineering leader seeking your next exciting challenge? We’re searching for an Engineering Team Lead to join Babcock’s ADFGSE contract. This partnership involves managing the strategic assets of the common GSE fleet in collaboration with the Australian Defence Force.
As the Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing the initial management and leadership of Acquisition phases through Survey and Quote engagements from the ADF. You’ll be tasked with identifying and defining project scopes, budgets, and timelines for Engineering change projects. This includes providing technical support for proposals and tenders.

 

In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for Engineering matters, both internally and externally. Your goal will be to deliver top-notch solutions that align with customer expectations and meet contractual or tender response obligations.
Leading a team of four professionals, you’ll provide guidance, mentorship, and encouragement to foster team growth. Additionally, you’ll promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation.

 

What will you bring? 

  • Relevant Degree in Engineering recognised under the Washington Accord
  • Membership of a relevant institution working towards relevant Chartered status with a desire for Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Extensive experience in a similar role Preferably with demonstrated experience within Defence Industry.
  • Systems Engineering expereince
  • Output focussed individual who is able to see “solutions not problems” 
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to maintain and obtain a Defence security clearance.
