About the role

Reporting to the Program Planning Manager (PPM) and Program Delivery Manager (PDM), you are responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the project management services being provided by the Integrated Project Team (IPT). You will be the single point of contact for their allocated platform, the Platform Manager will provide planning and oversight throughout the EMP lifecycle, ensuring that External Maintenance Period (EMP) objectives can be achieved through sufficient support within the constraints and resources available.

 

This role is based on site at Garden Island, NSW.

 

About you 

We are looking for an individual that is a motivated self-starter, with demonstrated ability to manage quality and effectiveness of the project management services being provided by the Integrated Project Team (ITP).

You will be the single point of contact for their allocated platform, the Platform Manager will provide planning and oversight throughout the EMP lifecycle, ensuring that External Maintenance Period (EMP) objectives can be achieved through sufficient support within the constraints and resources available.

 

Essential

  • Technical trade or Certificate IV in Engineering;
  • Strong project management, time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to effectively lead an IPT and deliver ‘best practice’ outcomes;
  • Proven ability to make robust judgements coupled with superior problem-solving skills;
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills;
  • Technical knowledge of warship major platform systems;
  • Experience managing complex maritime projects delivered through IPT’s;
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, an AGSVA Baseline Clearance;
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card); and
  • No restrictions to access For Official Use Only (FOUO) level or ITAR controlled material.

 

Desirable

  • DRN Access; and
  • AMPS7 Knowledge.
