About the role
The Technology Analyst works directly for Babcock Australasia’s Chief Technologist as part of the team responsible for the identification, technical evaluation, and development of next generation technologies. As a creative thinker, you will be responsible for both the development and understanding of a range of advanced sciences and technologies. Your role will assess how these developments can strengthen and grow our future opportunities, and inform the companies strategic plans. 

 

About you 
Conceptual, strategic with a “hands on approach” you have a keen interest in understanding Babcock’s future business strategy, long term future concepts and operating environments, allowing the imaging and developing of transformative concepts and technologies. You have are passionate about emerging science and technology developments, and have a continual watch of global and local developments to forecast and provide awareness of other potential opportunities.  You have a strong interest or experience with predictive modelling, machine learning and advanced analytics, and have the ability to translate abstract concepts into technical plans.

You enjoy working with various stakeholders to understand future ideas and concepts. With 5+ years engineering experience hold a relevant Engineering Qualification recognised by the Washington Accord, and are expereinced in data and/or computer science. You previous expereince and inclination gives you the ability to support and collaborate within an evolving team environment.
