About you

You will be a strategic project management professional, preferably with Defence industry experience, with exceptional people leadership skills and the ability to successfully implement and manage project controls. You will consistently think outcomes to promote and act as a role model for a performance improvement projects team.

 

You enjoy the opportunity to collaborate and in leading by example, you encourage your team to do the same. You will thrive on mentoring and coaching graduates and interns within the Project Management discipline to develop their knowledge within the organisation.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Program Manager – Collins, you will be responsible for the data compilation, analysis and reporting on the performance of the Marine Mission Systems Programs in support of the relevant Programs and Projects that comprise the Marine Mission Systems portfolio.

 

Your analytical abilities will allow you to identify opportunities for performance improvement, and plan and manage the implementation of these initiatives by using industry best practice knowledge.

 

You will be supported by a cohesive and strong direct reporting team comprising Project Controls, Scheduling and other appropriate skill sets.

 

This role is based in Osborne, South Australia – with some interstate travel required.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance as per AGSVA requirements
  • Significant experience of implementing and managing project controls preferably within a Defence environment
  • Experience establishing and managing project schedules
  • Strong process improvement, best-practice solution delivery and change management skills
  • Experience in providing day-to-day leadership and tasking of a team ensuring timely delivery of Projects/Programs.
  • Strong understanding of managing budgets, contracts and governance.
