The role

 

As a Quality Control Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including supply chain, to ensure that the end client meets their quality requirements in relation to AQAP2110 and ISO9001 across their programme of works.  

 

Day to day, you’ll provide support to the (Senior) Quality Manager in delivering the projects quality strategy in coordination with the suppliers and delivery partners and also provide advice and support to the business on all aspects of quality, including the production and delivery of its quality planning and control documentation and ensuring appropriate quality levels are allocated to control of work activities

 

•    You’ll ensure any supply chain quality non-conformances (NCRs) are managed and closed out in a timely manner and supports the implementation of necessary correction and corrective actions to remedy any non-conformity found and to avoid recurrence. 
•    You’ll also ensure the requirements for site and manufacturing lifetime records are clearly identified and that such records are prepared and maintained, including all relevant review and approval activities, concurrently with manufacturing or site activities. 
•    You’ll support the production and review of internal and supplier Inspection and Test Plans for Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning activities.

Essential experience of the Quality Control Engineer  

•    Extensive experience of working with quality management systems ISO9001:2015 and/or relevant industry derivative e.g. AS9100.
•    Experience gained in a highly regulated, safety critical project delivery environment, e.g. Civil or defence nuclear, defence, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, aerospace or rail. 
•    Demonstrable and verifiable project delivery experience in large multidisciplined projects with an employment history that presents tenacity and resilience. 
•    Experience in review of Design for Manufacture (DfM). 
•    Formally recognised auditor qualification, e.g. IRCA.

 

37 hours, Full time, Hybrid working available 

 

Qualifications for the Quality Control Engineer 

•    Formally recognised auditor qualification, e.g. IRCA.
•    Current or past Mechanical Personal Certification in Non-Destructive (PCN) testing in Radiographic Testing and Penetrant Test, Weld Inspection Qualification – e.g. CSWIP3.1 or PCN Level2 (WI), NDT Experience to PCN Level2; PT, MT, UT, RAD OR current or past Electrical Experience as an electrical inspector in offsite electrical installation, panel/equipment fabrication and commissioning with C&G, e.g. City & Guilds2382 18th Edition BS7671, City & Guilds2356, Level3 NVQ Electro Technical Services Installation, City & Guilds2391 Test & Inspection

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
