The role

As a IT Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure the effective delivery of business value from IT projects.

 

Day to day, you’ll ensure the implementation of structured project management processes to ensure the effective delivery of business value from IT projects. 

 

  • Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, 
  • Direct and monitor work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately.
  • You will track key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers and maintain a full set of documentation as required by the IT Project Management Process for each project.
  • Assisting the Portfolio Manager and Business Relationship Manager in partnering with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritise opportunities for business improvement.

 

Essential experience of the IT Project Manager:

  • Experienced IT professional, focussed on being a part of a cost effective and efficient project delivery team
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience
  • Infrastructure Project Management is desirable
  • Microsoft Project experience essential (and Project Server preferred)
  • Experience of managing 4/5 projects simultaneously

 

This role is full time at 37.5 hours per week and offers mostly remote working with minimal office requirements from RAF Brize Norton. This role does require travel to our customer sites across the UK from time to time. 

 

Qualifications for the IT Project Manager:

  • PRINCE/APM or equivalent certification 
  • Certified Scrum Master, AgilePM certified or equivalent

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
