About the role

The Maintenance Planner role is key in supporting the development of a strong, efficient and effective maintenance management strategy within the Technical Regulatory Framework.

You are responsible for the effective planning and detailing of maintenance support for the LHD and/or LLC assets including planning maintenance tasks per maintenance period, by collating all due tasks into a main work list.  This drives the allocation of labour, materials and other support activities to meet the client’s requirements for each maintenance period. 

 

You will also review outputs from maintenance conducted and embed lessons learnt into next maintenance periods to ensure efficiencies are delivered. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop detailed maintenance requirements for the platform planning and provide feedback on Urgent Defects (URDEF’s) for the assigned platform under the direction of URDEF Manager;
  • Assist platform managers with complex repair plans;
  • Recommend and support changes to maintenance policy;
  • Identify risks associated with delivery of sustainment, supporting action resolution where appropriate;
  • Utilise AMPS to obtain data and to create and request various types of reports at the AMPS maintenance planner level;
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of system issues, e.g. AMPS7;
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is triggered and ensure appropriate vessel maintenance; and
  • Utilise AMPS to create, allocate and close work orders for corrective and preventative maintenance, engineering changes and any other tasks required for the ongoing sustainment of the vessels,

 

About you

Essential:

  • Trade background or Certificate IV in Engineering or equivalent;
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance at the following level;
    • AGSVA Baseline Clearance
  • Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence;
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card); and
  • No restrictions to access For Official Use Only (FOUO) level or ITAR controlled material.
