About the role 
Our AsPac Justice and Immigration business unit provides essential services across the justice system, from the safe and secure operation of prisons to managing the reintegration of offenders into society.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Justice, and Immigration, you will provide overall leadership and strategic management of our Justice Contracts in Australia and New Zealand. Utilising your previous experience in similar positions and industries, this leadership role’s main focus is to deliver an efficient and effective National Operation of Justice sites which meet the requirements of each state’s contract. You will also hold accountability for ensuring the contract terms are met within all facilities, ensuring contract compliance at all times.

You will drive the operations of the centre by embedding our key operating principles to ensure intervention programs are facilitated in a positive and engaging manner to help those in our care address offending behaviour. An inspirational and commercially minded leader, you will ensure the facility is aligned with the contractual, legislative, and relevant regulatory requirements. You will display a personal set of values and attitudes towards those in our care that will serve as role-model behaviour to colleagues, direct reports, and the public.

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and Post-Graduate studies in relevant related field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in an equivalent Senior Management position.
  • At least 20 years’ experience in justice or related industry.
  • Demonstrate continuous industry knowledge development.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills that enable the successful influence and negotiation with internal and external counterparts.
  • Budget and financial management expertise.
  • Ability to plan, oversee and direct the operations of a multi-discipline team in an institutional environment.
  • High level of resilience and the ability to remain level-headed and objective in high stress situations.
  • Exceptional business and fiscal acumen, with a desire to question the ‘standard’.
  • A strong understanding in the management of media and external scrutiny.
  • Superior negotiation skills and the adaptability to engage and influence others.
