The company has a wide range of capabilities and expertise, designing, developing, and manufacturing military and commercial aircraft, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), radar systems, and space systems.

The opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Marketing Director to join IAI in Australia. This is a key role in supporting shaping and executing the marketing strategy to drive sales growth for IAI in Australia.

The Sales and Marketing Director will report to the Managing Director of IAI Australia and will engage clients, partners, and relevant stakeholders in IAI to generate sales, and support clients and IAI locally in Australia.

The IAI office is located in Melbourne, but working remotely can be considered.

 

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

·        Take part in defining and implementing the current and future sales & marketing policies.

·        Engage potential clients, Identify, and generate business opportunities.

·        Establish and maintain customer relations and communications.

·        Support IAI teams in Australia by creating connections arranging and leading meetings, drafting sales proposals, and assisting in negotiating and signing contracts.

·        Ensure good engagement and coordination with IAI’s Sales, marketing, and business units.

·        Attend and present at events, conventions, and exhibitions.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a proven leader with exceptional people skills to join our team. To meet the requirements of the role with ease we are looking for people with the following:

·        Formal qualification in management, business administration, marketing, or another relevant discipline.

·      Must demonstrate experience in business development and sales at a senior level with the ability to identify and secure streams of revenue and funding:

·        Must demonstrate experience in working with Defence, familiarity with the organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, process, and culture.

·        Ex Defence forces service and or experience in working with government officials – advantage.

·        Experience working in a multi-national sales environment.

·        Experience with stakeholder management including the ability to develop new, and foster existing, relationships with key partners.

·        Highly developed strategic and business analysis skills and effective decision-making. Ability to set and deliver a strategy to support Business objectives.

·        Advanced ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to a broad range of executive stakeholders. written, verbal, and presentation.

·        Self-Starter, Initiator, and problem solver with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
