About you

You will be a senior scheduler or planner with considerable experience in a similar role, possessing advanced skills in Primavera P6. You will be able to think on your feet and effectively coach and mentor a small team to succeed in completing tasks within set timeframes.

 

Having experience in other scheduling software (Open Plan Professional, Acumen Fuse, Primavera Risk Analyser) will be advantageous, as well as knowledge of Earned Value Management and data analysis/ visualisation reporting (eg Power BI).

 

About the role

In this role you will own and deliver the responsibility for oversight of schedule development and maintenance of Integrated Project Master Schedules (IMS), Annual Work Schedule (AWS), Key Date Schedules (KDS), Ship Maintenance Availability Master Plan (SMAMP) and the schedule reports for program and project controls.

 

This is a permanent role located in Henderson WA, working within Babcock’s Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) alliance for the total asset management of the Royal Australian Navy’s Anzac Class frigates through to the end of their life.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support development and maintenance of the schedule architecture, processes, procedures, and scheduling ‘rules’ to ensure cohesive, integrated, and consistent schedules within the program and across all AIP’s;

  • Work closely with Platform, Combat, Delivery & Program Controls team from early planning to production and close-out in line with Client and delivery expectations;

  • Support Program, Project, and Production Managers with the review of contingency and risk;

  • Provide schedule progress reports to Program delivery and control teams to support project oversight and corrective actions as necessary;

  • Identify, communicate, and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, issues, and risks on the program and project levels, and support the use of schedule risk analysis tools such as Monte Carlo Simulation;

  • Ensure project schedules are developed as per approved maintenance work lists (MWL), Technical Repair Specifications (TRS), subcontractor input, and with appropriate milestones, task breakdown, sequence logic, calendars, resources and complete set of associated codes and attributes; and

  • Produce and maintain critical path analysis and key event/milestones plan.

 

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance; and

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
